Simplistic and impactful style, the main reasons I am a fan of RETNAs. You can stand and look at his work for hours and just get lost in his style.  So good

Came across this while doing my daily inspiration check.  At first glimpse its a little raw and morbid, but after really looking at the images... It does make you wonder what the space team is thinking... Now What?

While doing my daily browsing I came across this image on Beautiful Decay.  David Welch would be the man behind the lens.  Not a lot of photography catches my eye, but his latest project sure did.  The project is called Material World and the part that I love about it is the use of a consumption.  Enough from me, just go check it out.

My buddy and boss Issy, just sent this over as a cure for the case of the Mondays, it worked.  I wish cans now a days looked liked they did back them... simple, straight to the point... none of this "cold" "super cold" crap them have now.  Here are a couple of my favorites: Classic, Why Not.

I am also a huge fan of how flickr's layout is on their site, well done yahoo!

Blu just released another print for you to enjoy, a little bummed I won't be able to get one this time around... saving up my coins for a new addition to the family.  If you have some space on your wall and some cash in the pocket I would recommend you pick up one of these prints.  Blu is one of my favorite street artist and if you know his work you know why.

Haven't been in the studio much lately, but I have been working a couple things for Mitch over at Captain Fin Company.  I'll be finishing them up this working and posting a little preview of whats been in the works.

Never fails... The shows I have months to prepare for always seem to come out of nowhere.  Nonsense & Everything that goes with it is one of the shows I have been waiting for with much anticipation. First off it is with really good friends of mine, which is always fun to do a show with.  Second, I have been working on a plastic toy/figure for the past couple weeks (first time sculpting something) I "plan" on having 10 of them for sale at the show.  I love trying new things and really testing myself... So far so good.  I will keep you updated with pictures soon.  

Needless to say work has been insane lately, which is a good thing.  Lots of good things coming down the pipe.

Since things are so crazy... I thought I would start yet another side project. more to come.

It's true, I have never been a fan of canvas, or at least painting on them.  There is something about a wood panel or found items that really gets the creative juices flowing for me.  I was pretty excited to be asked to participate in this years 2nd Annual ANTI-CANVAS so put on by Hurley.  All Art work is Sublimated on a pair of boardshorts and then auctioned off and 100% of the proceeds go to Junior Lifeguards, The Lokahi Giving Project, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  What a great idea, and am proud to be in it.  I also received a pair of the one off shorts and will be posting them soon.  I wish I could attend this show... maybe next year.

So a couple weeks ago I decided that I needed to buy a new point and shoot.  I made the mistake of asking Friend, Co-worker, and Professional / famous photographer (he loves to hear that) Beau Roulette what he would choose if he had to get a point and shoot.  Instantly he shouted out, GF1.  This time around I was willing for fork out a pretty penny to get one that will really do me good.  I just didn't know it would be that pretty of a penny.  After some research and a couple less meals out I ordered one up.  I have been thus far extremely happy with it.  The goal is to keep updating the site with random images shot out and about.  So stay tuned... I have a pretty good arsenal building.
